Role Description

Product managers set the vision for our growing family of products. We’re responsible for guiding multidisciplinary teams toward a common goal: shipping high quality products and creating business value. As advocates for both our users and our business, the best product managers balance a range of functional perspectives and empower their teams to do great, high impact work.
As part of this team, you will be focused on creating the onboarding and activation experiences across Dropbox. This team is positioned to explore, understand, and execute activation paths throughout our SKUs. You will find the relevant moments to expose users to new and existing functionality. You’ll determine how to communicate feature value, and how to best influence users to experience it. You will partner with a world class team of Product Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Analysts, and Marketers to understand users’ needs and build experiences with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Defining a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap to validate which product experiences are most effective for activation in a multi-product world
  • Collaborating with Product Design, Design Research, Engineering, and Data Science partners to identify internal tooling problems that stand in the way of effective activation and prioritize solutions for them
  • Partnering with other product teams to identify user-centric problems and collaborating with Product Design and Engineering partners to test and iterate on solutions for them
  • Prototyping rapidly to validate the need for, or efficacy of, a solution
  • Contributing to the short- and long-term visions and best practices of onboarding for the core product
  • Driving, and advocating for, sound experimentation around feature discovery at Dropbox
  • Managing relationships with numerous feature and product teams at Dropbox, including user-facing as well as platform teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a Product Manager, or similar role. Additional experience in a related function or area of expertise
  • Design sense; understanding of, and empathy for users
  • Business and strategy sense; understanding of business goals and success
  • Thrives in ambiguity and prefers an entrepreneurial style of approaching work
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with, motivate, and lead a diverse, cross-functional squad toward a shared outcome
  • Experience with developing a vision and roadmap for an area of a product; or similarly, planning for a cross-functional area with many workstreams toward a focused goal
  • Motivation and excitement about building product experiences that create measurable business value
