Product Manager - Observability Pipelines

Product Manager - Observability Pipelines 

This is an opportunity to help launch a brand new product at Datadog, and be on the ground floor of a project that is already seeing massive demand from our customers. Observability Pipelines are high performance data pipelines giving customers understanding and control over their data at Petabyte scale.

The work is based on the team’s popular open source project “Vector” (vector.dev) which is downloaded millions of times per month and used by hundreds of well known enterprise companies. As the team brings the commercial side of this offering to market, we are in need of a Product Manager with strong technical experience, a proven ability to communicate difficult concepts clearly to executive buyers and developers, and partner with large customers to prioritize a very ambitious roadmap.

What You’ll Do: 

• Ensure feature quality and timely delivery
• Collect and analyze feedback
• Work closely with design and engineering
• Build training materials and documentation
• Partner with sales to help close deals
• Build out processes to help scale the team

Who You Are: 

• An experienced Product Manager, ideally at a large SaaS company 
• You have a strong technical background and/or sense of the day in the life of an engineer shipping, maintaining, or securing a distributed cloud application.
• You have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to present and defend your ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
• You are customer-minded with a high quality standard for the product to be delivered
