Scaleway is searching for a Product Manager (PM), Network Products. You will be in charge of operational product management for the Network Products team.
The Network Products team develops and operates network functionalities for Scaleway's cloud (Elements) and bare metal (Dedibox) customers. Products currently include our Load Balancer and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) offering, which consists of Private Networks and soon the Public Gateway. Products on our roadmap include Direct Connect and CDN. Desired experience
- Significant experience as a software product manager (minimum of 3 to 4 years of product management experience including product strategy and discovery)
- Strong knowledge of the Cloud networking market and competitor offering (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
- Leadership capabilities: Be the inspirational leader you want to follow.
- Synthetic mind that can take a step back and define vision and strategy
- Very good command of English & French
Preferred qualifications
- Experience as a product manager for cloud networking solutions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Product Roadmap & Prioritization
The PM defines the product strategy and actions to be taken by the Network Products team to reach the vision and business objectives of the company. In order to make the right decisions on a day-to-day basis, the PM will:
- Continuously engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements and feed the product roadmap.
- Build and maintain the product roadmap by using a high degree of judgment to make critical trade-offs—balancing both business requirements and technological trade-offs. The Senior PM must ensure the product is solving the right problems.
- Define key metrics to track in order to assess the product's health.
Product Discovery
The PM is responsible for understanding and having a clear picture of user needs, which is key to building the right products. The PM will:
- Understand Network Products users (both internal and external).
- Collect continuous feedback on the current use of the product.
- Collect continuous feedback on market trends.
Product Delivery
The PM will work closely with the Engineering Manager to drive execution based on the product vision. The PM is expected to:
- Work closely with engineers to determine the best solution to address product users’ pain points.
- Turn the roadmap into a backlog of user stories with clear, concise specifications.
- Follow-up iterations and ensure real value is delivered to end users.
- Sync with other teams to address functional dependencies.
- Analyze feature performance and generate product insights to either iterate or eliminate features.
Product Culture, Management and Mentoring
The PM will be a builder and advocate of Scaleway’s product culture. To do so, the PM will:
- Always communicate the “why” instead of the “what”. Ensure that his/her team and stakeholders understand the roadmap and embrace it through engaging communication.
- Showcase the product internally with regular internal trainings, roadmap presentations, demos, etc.
- Participate actively in the PM Guild to improve processes, workflows and tools.
This position can be either:
- Based in our offices in Paris or Lille (France), partial/full remote is possible
- Fully remote worldwide
