Product Manager, Navigation Native

Mapbox powers navigation for people, packages, and vehicles everywhere. Our maps represent the ever-evolving world, accessing, aggregating, and adapting anonymous data from millions of sensors, vehicles and phones in real-time. Our navigation software lives in mobile devices, vehicles, trucks, embedded. Whether you are starting your car, watching the delivery of your grocery order on Instacart, tracking your personal best mile on Strava, sending snaps on Snapchat, monitoring your gas budget on Metromile, or checking today’s forecast on The Weather Channel, Mapbox is within those apps.

What We Do

Mapbox Navigation Native team is bridging the gap between automotive, mobile and logistics navigation experience. We deliver sophisticated and cross-platform algorithms solving map-matching, navigation and adas problems. To amplify this growth we are looking for a seasoned product manager who can execute on complex products in a high velocity environment.

What You’ll Do

As the product manager, you will be responsible for:

• Defining the product roadmap and feature set for one of the areas: TBT-navigation, Mapbox Horizon for mobile and auto and most probably in a new not yet existing product in logistics or fleet management created while ..
• Identifying and investigating new areas of business and product opportunities for Mapbox.
• Writing beautiful launch blog posts.
• Working collaboratively across service organizations at Mapbox.
• Successfully planning and enabling the team to execute against planned goals.
• Establishing and defining operational excellence for all products from a customer point of view.

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

• 5 or more years of relevant product management experience 
• Demonstrated leadership ability with collaboration and influencing skills 
• Exceptional communication skills, including presentation, formal writing, verbal and email 
• You are passionate about customer experience, with a track record of delivering “Wow-experiences,” for customers 
• A thought leader who can clearly articulate vision and objectives and mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver against those objectives 
• Attention to detail and the ability & willingness to get your hands dirty 
• A passion for the automotive industry
• Experience driving complex software development projects towards deadlines
• Proficient at evaluating multiple perspectives and crisply articulating strong opinions based on principles and data.
• Strong emotional intelligence and consensus building skills to create and work within a collaborative environment
• Knowledge of navigation and/or logistics optimization concepts is appreciated
