About the team
We need a Product Manager who is passionate about building a best in class Mobile Platform tech suite and creating practices and standards that enable us to deliver amazing native mobile experiences to our customers.
About the role
The Mobile Platform team is looking for someone who loves mobile and wants to take our native mobile delivery, tools, and practices to another level. You’ll be responsible for executing on our mobile platform vision, strategy and roadmap alongside a talented engineering pod. Your skillful product leadership and management of the backlog enables the team to deliver innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges for our native mobile development teams.
The team you’ll be joining is currently focused on uplifting our Identity capabilities, Apple App Store and Google Play Store in app purchase infrastructure, and are responsible for a range of client SDKs and libraries.
What you'll be doing
- Have a deep understanding of the demands for features and enhancements. This includes listening to and interacting with leadership teams, product leaders, sales and marketing, product teams and customers. Research and analyse how potential solutions and improvements should be delivered.
- Document findings into specifications, user stories, etc. that will be used as the foundation of the development and testing phases. Own the delivery of the roadmap, product planning, and requirements for new features and improvements. Lead a team of peers during the course of projects to drive delivery.
- Be able to prioritise feature requests, enhancements and bug fixes into an achievable roadmap.
- Work closely with development to define milestones and ensure on-time and in-scope delivery.
- Maintain strong communications with all teams at Xero, in particular, the Development, QA, Design, Documentation and Training teams
What You’ll Bring With You
- 3-5+ years experience bringing products, services, and platforms to life
- Proven experience delivering platform technology solutions
- Experience with problem discovery and solution framing activities
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Inclusive attitude and experience working closely with design and engineering teams
