Job Description:
Your primary role at MetaMap will be to make sure that our Platform can scale, which is one of the most significant growth potentials for the company. Every product team (and product) is very interconnected, and we need to separate them by developing a solid platform where they can each plug into. Early signs that the platform is successful will see less back and forth between product teams, more products getting shipped to production, reduced development lead time, more product adoption!

This role is very strategic for MetaMap to scale from 10 product teams to 50+. You would partner with business product managers and operating unit stakeholders to design, develop, and implement digital solutions to drive revenue, product innovation, and efficiencies in our business. Ideally, you have a technical background, already held platform PM responsibilities & have played a key role in scaling a platform in the past! Responsibilities:

• Define and drive platform strategy and roadmap. Partner with the business product managers to develop a vision, design, and prioritized feature backlog for digital product(s)/platform. Ensure cohesion across all product lines on their platform. Evangelize long-term strategy to the development teams, the product and business teams, and the broader organization.

• Draft project charters, requirements, Agile epics, and stories, with prioritized features and specifications while incorporating inputs from all stakeholders. Ensure release goals and commitments are understood by all affected teams.

• They will own the execution of the Platform roadmap and collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, and business operations to ensure we deliver on the business’ goals.

• Be the conscience of the Platform, continuously looking at the services from an end user’s perspective, driving the complete experience to the best outcome possible for the end-user. Ensure the customer experience is represented as a top priority throughout all stages of development.

• Partner with Program Managers and Engineering Leadership to ensure a manageable scope that can be delivered on time, on budget, on quality. Oversee the care and feeding of the platform, confirm all aspects of the platform receive attention, including technical debt and infrastructure, and new features.

Skills & Experience

• 4 to 11 years of Product Manager experience.

• Technical background (studied CS, potentially was a developer in the past) and have worked as a platform PM in one of your product roles.

• The Platform Product Manager will need good project management skills to handle the complex dependency management and diverse stakeholders to deliver projects on time and strategy.

• Meticulous, highly developed organizational skills, a half-full attitude, and the ability to work on multiple projects in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.Strong leadership skills and creativity.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working on API products.

• Experience working with emerging markets.

• Experience in B2B companies.
