We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, and analytical Product Manager, Logistics to join our team and to help scale our growth. You will work closely with product/development teams that span across geographic regions to improve our overall processes, execute new features, optimize efficiencies and identify improvement opportunities. 

This role is considered to be highly strategic for 1stDibs and has significant visibility across the organization. It will have a strong business impact, focusing on lifting buyer conversion, boosting seller engagement, reducing operational costs, and expanding 1stDibs’ global reach. You will own the product development on our logistics program which includes shipment quoting and registration, integrating with third party providers, and improving shipment quality and customer experience.

This Product Manager will partner closely with engineering, logistics operations, finance, client services, buyer, and seller teams to execute improvements. In addition, the individual will spearhead cross-functional plans to coordinate across multiple teams to ensure features are rolled out successfully.

What you’ll do

  • Strategize and Innovate: Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for 1stDibs’ logistics program used by both global buyers and sellers. Understand market trends, customer needs (buyers, sellers, and carriers), and the competitive landscape to inform product development decisions and shipping policies. Translate complex business challenges into actionable opportunities, creating clear product requirements, and detailed features.
  • Collaborate and Execute: Partner extensively with diverse cross-functional teams including Engineering, UX, Analytics, Logistics, Finance, Customer Support, Buyer, and Seller teams to ensure seamless execution and commercialization.
  • Define and Deliver: Define and prioritize requirements, goals, and success metrics for product launches, including designing A/B tests (where applicable). Oversee the product from ideation to launch and beyond, continually analyzing performance and iterating on improvements using agile methodologies.
  • Mitigate and Manage: Identify and mitigate risks associated with new features, proactively addressing potential impacts on user experience or financial outcomes. Manage relationships with various stakeholders, including executives, development teams, and external partners.

What you will bring

  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in a marketplace, e-commerce, or building logistics platforms.
  • Ability to develop a long-term vision for the product and align it with business objectives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive effective decision-making.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to analyze feature performance and the ability to make tradeoffs. 
  • Ability to break down complex problems and communicate effectively across different functions to identify potential solutions.
  • Experience building, iterating, and scaling products.
  • Experience with project management and multitasking, as well as the ability to juggle projects in parallel.
  • Ability to build virtual teams with subject experts across the company, leading them to work together and create a roadmap.
  • Understanding of the underlying technologies and processes in the logistics industry is a plus.

$150,500$188,000 USD
