Product Manager, Login & Signup

Asana is looking for a Product Manager to lead the Login & Signup team. This team owns the “front door” to Asana: how users authenticate into the Asana product and how Asana works with industry technologies and standards like OAuth, SAML, 2FA, OIDC, NIST, etc. This team also owns the Asana account model and all its nitty, gritty details: what constitutes an account, what’s its lifecycle, and how does that represent a person and their relationship with Asana over a lifetime.

This role is perfect for product leaders who have a technical background, and are excited to partner and empathize with customers and internal leaders in the Legal, Privacy, Security and IT functions. 

What you’ll achieve

• Be the product voice on some of Asana’s hardest technical product challenges.
• Partner with the Legal, Security, IT teams along with engineers & other product teams to co-create novel solutions to a difficult realm of product problems.
• Be the catalyst that finds ways to reject the false tradeoffs, between a seamless user experience, and enterprise grade security.
• Connect the dots across experiences and teams to create a cohesive account experience for the customer.
• Partner with functions across the company (Engineering, Design, Data Science, Product Marketing) peers to execute on plans.
• Define and deliver compelling product roadmaps based on customer needs and strategic opportunities

About you

• 2+ years of product management experience, managing software products from inception through launch and iteration. Alternatively, 4+ years as an engineer 
• Comfort with technical concepts: data models and relationships, data storage & infrastructure strategies, authentication best practices and technology
• Deeply customer empathetic: jumps to the why, the context behind the product problem vs. accepting the solution as is.
• A knack for the details: able to digest, synthesize and communicate nuanced product states, appreciation for how little details in login & account scale exponentially, etc.
• Experience in high growth environments, particularly in SaaS, working with Security, Privacy and Legal teams.
• Creates, flexes, and evangelizes a roadmap. Thoughtfully breaks down projects to MVPs to maximize customer value with the least amount of work.
• Problem-solves across the organization. Anticipates problems and solves them before they impact teams.
