What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who loves building products that will be used by hundreds of thousands of businesses every day.You will be integrally involved in the entire product cycle - working with data, analysts, research, UX, design, development, customer experience, and marketing teams to design, build, and launch new products, features, and improvements in a demanding, rapid development environment.

You are self-motivated, highly-organized, analytical, and persuasive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment.Further, you are obsessed with solving real customer problems, and are driven by an outcomes focused approach ideally from your previous experience working with AI/Machine Learning models to drive unique value within a SAAS product.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively define & execute the OKRs (objectives, key results) & roadmap for one of Later’s largest strategic focuses to differentiate the product offering in the competitive landscape using cutting edge technologies (AI, Machine Learning)
  • Execute the roadmap in the form of agile sprints within a quarterly cycle, including defining and monitoring the say/do ratio for the team
  • Lead a cross functional squad including developers, analysts, designers, UX, and work cross functionally with all other areas including customer success, marketing, executive groups, other product teams and management leaders to align and coordinate goals, targets
  • Become the subject matter expert in all things machine learning/AI and how they can be applied to the Later product to delight customers
  • Analysis: Define, evaluate, monitor, and improve key usage metrics
  • Requirements & Specifications: Gather and document requirements from both external and internal sources, and convert into high-level and detailed feature specifications
  • User Research: Working with our user research team, gather feedback and input from our user base

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated significant experience as a Product Manager, shipping web or mobile based software, with proven success in product feature usage or revenue growth within a SaaS or B2B software
  • Demonstrated experience using data analytics, web analytics, A/B testing, and other quantitative techniques to evaluate and guide product decisions. Must be comfortable with data, models, and statistics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that allow you to clearly communicate to both external users, and internal team members
  • Entrepreneurial by nature, you excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are a given
  • Technical background or a strong familiarity with software engineering - degree in Computer Science / Engineering preferred
  • The tech startup industry is where you want to be. You thrive on the cutting edge and get excited to learn more, push boundaries and innovate every day

Nice to haves

  • Experience working with AI/Machine Learning technology or technology assisted products
  • Experience working with forecasting models
  • Experience with data analysis using SQL/Mode/Big Query
  • Experience with E-commerce, especially for SMBs
  • Enthusiasm for visual storytelling

Later is proudly founded and based in Vancouver. Our team can work remotely from one of our hub city locations: Vancouver, Toronto or London UK. We post our positions in the hub location that we are looking to hire for that role.
