Join the team as our next Product Manager - Messaging Configurations

Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we have presence throughout South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. We're on a journey to becoming a globally anti-racist, anti-oppressive, anti-bias company that actively opposes racism and all forms of oppression and bias. At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

This position is needed to build and support a configuration platform which allows messaging customers and developers to achieve their objectives with less code and faster time to market. Other teams also rely on integrating their services with the configuration platform to deliver their features to customers. You will have a major role in creating an upleveled, differentiated messaging experience for Twilio customers.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Design, deliver, and support solutions that make our customers successful with messaging.
  • Ruthlessly prioritize across customers and stakeholders to develop a long-term roadmap.
  • Create artifacts that communicate to various stakeholders your product vision, the business value, and the technical rationale behind your product decisions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to drive alignment and bring great products to market.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • 3+ years experience in a Product Management role in a software company.
  • Excellent communication skills. You are happy to talk to customers and partners, and enjoy evangelizing your product and vision.
  • Strong writing skills, for both product and engineering. You can communicate complex matters concisely and clearly.
  • The ability to solicit customer requirements from many - often competing - sources, prioritize, and work with engineering and design to deliver.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to deliver software using Agile methodologies and lead solution design with engineering partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Desired:

  • Previous experience working with APIs, communications, enterprise software, and SMS is a plus.

Location

This role will be remote, and based in the US.

What We Offer
