Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

This position measures the Twilio customer journey and helps provide a personalized experience through Twilio’s ecosystem of products. Building upon Segment, the Twilio Customer Data Platform (CDP), Developer Analytics Platform builds on the industry leading CDP for collecting, unifying, and connecting customer data across Twilio. This role will be responsible for building products and capabilities (e.g., for personalization, segmentation, data privacy management) that allow teams to easily integrate and help them use customer data to build amazing experiences.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Set the vision, roadmap, and direction for the Developer Analytics Platform
  • Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects
  • Gather requirements, determine features and their priority, write product specs, refine feedback, manage the backlog, and ship quickly
  • Educate teams and promote company-wide adoption of Developer Analytics Platform

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • To comply with Executive Order 14042, all Twilio employees working in the U.S. are required to submit proof of vaccination for COVID-19 unless they qualify for a medical or religious accommodation / exemption.  Employees onboarded after January 4, 2022 must submit proof of vaccination or receive approval for an exemption prior to their Twilio start date.
  • Ability to set a strategic vision for Twilio’s Developer Analytics Platform aligned with the company’s long term goals, and deliver on it.
  • Experience with Segment or other CDP.
  • Experience with ML and predictive model development.
  • Ability to understand customer problems, gather requirements from many - often competing - sources, prioritize, and work with engineering and design to deliver.
  • Ability to leverage data to understand customer behavior at scale and interpret metrics about your products.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. We’re transforming how products are built at Twilio and the answers aren’t always obvious. You are a self-starter with a structured approach to breaking down ambiguous problems and can describe how you iterate toward a clear product definition.
  • Experience building software products, especially APIs, SDKs or SaaS products

Desired:

  • Experience working as a Product Manager or in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience
