The Jira Platform powers the world's leading teams in more than 200,000 organizations across the globe. We are on a mission to make work flow, in companies ranging from disruptive startups to the largest companies in the world. We will achieve this by enabling Atlassian teams and teams outside of Atlassian to build structured work products & solutions for the entire knowledge worker market.
The Jira Platform powers our Jira products, including Jira Software as the number one tool for Agile Software Development, Jira Service Management for ITSM, and Jira Work Management for helping knowledge workers plan, track and execute their work. Jira is incredibly powerful, flexible, and configurable, offering a dynamic and exciting challenge for product managers to get their arms and minds around. Being central to Atlassian's long-term strategy, the Jira Platform organization is large, well funded, and rapidly growing. In this role, you would be responsible for building the strategy and plan for key foundations within the Jira Platform. These foundations will be instrumental in Atlassian unlocking new use cases for Jira and bringing Jira to even more teams around the world. Our mission in Jira Platform is to make workflow in all Jira products, built by developers across the globe at any scale.
On your first day you will have:
- Significant product management experience (3+), ideally in a fast-growing software company with a cloud-native architecture
- Significant experience leading and launching features/products that meet the needs of customers and the business
- Ability to paint a compelling vision to inspire cross-functional teams and senior leaders
- Ability to prioritize opportunities, balance customers' needs with business needs, and clearly communicate the rationale behind decisions
- Track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organization in large scale highly collaborative companies across multiple timezones
- Experience defining and tracking towards key business and usage success metrics
- Good technical understanding and ability to collaborate with senior engineers and architects on strategy and tactics
It's great but not required if you have:
- Computer Science or technical degree and/or a few years experience in an engineering role in the past
- Experience building products for software engineering, DevOps, and/or IT operations market
- Past experience building software platforms
