Job Description

Square is built by an incredible team that is on a mission to make commerce easy for all types of businesses. As one of our three vertical solutions, Square Appointments helps businesses in the services industry succeed. We build innovative solutions that provide businesses with everything they need to run their business: scheduling and online booking, a point of sale that tracks customer details, and a secure, fast payments system. As a Product Manager on the team, you will focus on global expansion and have an opportunity to drive impact for the millions of small businesses utilizing our product to start, run and grow their business.

 

You will work with engineers, analysts, product managers, product marketers, and other team members within the organization to launch Square Appointments into new international markets and expand the reach in existing markets. You will work closely with the international product marketers to understand the merchant needs and jobs to be done and build a roadmap to serve the needs of these merchants.

 

Qualifications

What will you do here?

  • Help shape the multi-year vision and influence the Square Appointments globalization strategy, establish practices to efficiently and effectively address customer needs.

  • Use feedback from sellers across multiple markets to grow market share of the product

  • Own the business model and support partnerships with application developers and solution partners.

  • Guide the creation of first party capabilities that are delightful, scalable, and remarkable.

  • In collaboration with world class design, engineering, marketing, and analytics partners; prioritize and lead the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to launch.

  • Work with our executive leadership team and key stakeholders across the company including finance & strategy, beta, and product marketing

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience

  • Deep developer empathy and the ability to distill seller-facing use cases into a set of features and requirements

  • Comfort with data analytics and statistics to retrieve, manipulate, and visualize data as necessary in order to design effective experiments and use quantitative intuition to interpret results.

  • Ability to both operate at a strategic level and dive deep into the technical details and complexity with ease. You can readily communicate technical and complex topics to non-technical audiences.
