About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Management Intern to join our team to learn and experience Product Management at Remitly, reporting to Senior Product Manager, Consumer Products. You’ll be part of the team responsible for the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery of game changing products that delight our customers worldwide. You have a broad range of skills - you can talk technology with developers, user experience with designers, acquisition and retention with marketing, numbers with finance, and business strategy with leadership. You’re a fierce customer advocate. At the end of the day, you deliver. 

Our internships typically last 3 months and give you an in-depth opportunity to see the product side of a fast-growing FinTech company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a customer advocate and use customer feedback, data analysis and market research to help develop and deliver revolutionary product features

  • Understand customer problems and translate them into clear product requirements

  • Take ownership while working with several teams (engineers, other PMs, analysts, design) to lead product and feature launches

  • Work backwards from the customer and in partnership with team members, develop functional specifications and create product/feature prototypes for implementation

  • With input from partner teams, identify important development milestones and then document and manage the delivery schedule. 

  • Capture, assess, and communicate status to team members, senior managers, and partner teams throughout the product delivery life-cycle

  • Learn to balance projects through prioritization, managing partner teams, and delivery.

Who You Are:

  • Working towards a Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent degree program

  • < 2 years product management experience

  • Strength in building relationships with varied internal and external audiences

  • Knowledge of the product management lifecycle and product management tools

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, build, deployment processes and timelines. 

  • Experience leading/managing small to medium scale projects

  • Technical scoping skills

  • Passionate about building great products, innovation and solving complex customer problems

Compensation: The expected pay for this role is $8000 a month
