The team
Our Product & Program Management teams work on some of the most impactful and challenging problems in the Software industry. We are a highly collaborative cross-border group that operates on the edge between Engineering and the business and helps to design solutions from concept to launch – all while focusing on and advocating for what’s best for our customers. We work closely with Engineering and Design to create some of the most innovative never-been-done-before products. We partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to bring the product to market.

This position
The DocuSign Agreement Cloud connects the world’s No. 1 eSignature technology to every other aspect of the agreement process. We are looking for a Product Manager Intern to help drive the next generation of DocuSign CLM, our Contract Lifecycle Management solution that helps companies prepare and negotiate many of their business-critical agreements. You will work with existing product teams to coordinate the execution and delivery efforts of new product features around international growth, and customer migrations. You will work across teams to help develop the roadmap, Project plan, Go to Market Plan and execute on delivering the project on time and on budget while managing the dependencies and mitigating risks as they arise. This will allow you to gain a broad experience in the full software development process from early stage idea to launch. You will excel in this role if you are an excellent communicator with the ability to work with nearly every function at DocuSign, from engineering, design, user research, product management, product marketing, customer support, and sales.

We are especially interested in creative and quantitative, data-driven product managers. Your objectives will be directly linked to successful aggressive yet realistic planning which has buy-in from the cross functional teams, on time delivery of the release to customer, and driving operational efficiency.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Product Manager and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Build the strategy and roadmap for various DocuSign product offerings
  • Drive the vision and requirements, translate them to functional specifications, facilitate a sound design and deliver an efficient experience
  • Leverage primary and secondary research to deepen understanding of customers across their lifecycle, from awareness to renewal and expansion
  • Drive insights on the markets and segments in which these applications compete; stay abreast of industry trends, events, and channels to anticipate customer needs
  • Profile and understand high value, innovative use cases purchased and implemented by a variety of industry customers
  • Evaluate and prioritize requirements in partnership with sales, marketing, and product team leadership, leveraging industry best practices and new innovations
  • Prioritize and manage a product backlog for effective release and sprint planning
  • Facilitate requirements definition with design and engineering partners while identifying dependencies and relative priority with other product managers
  • Partner with Program Management, Design and Engineering to ensure product ships on time and to quality

Basic qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field with at least one semester/quarter remaining post-internship
  • This role is not eligible for candidates requiring CPT/OPT or sponsorship in the future

Preferred qualifications

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience programming in a team software project – at school, professionally, or in an open source context
  • Experience in product management, release management and/or engineering management working on software engineering projects
  • Participated in rolling out a process change in an organization
  • Have working knowledge of one or more programming languages as an HTML, Python, React, Node, Angular JD, etc.
  • Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members
  • Possess working knowledge of any one of the project management tools like MD Project, Smartsheets, or Open Project
