About the role
The main product we are developing at Owkin, Owkin Connect, is a machine learning framework which enables data scientists to work on distributed datasets in a secure and privacy-preserving setting. Other products are in earlier conception stages but should be launched this year, in particular data management and visualization pipelines for histology and omics data.

As an intern, you will contribute to conceiving, building, delivering and using Owkin Connect and/or other products.This role would be an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in healthcare and AI. The role provides high-level exposure to a large variety of topics including Product, Engineering, IT, and Data Science.

You will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams and report directly to the Product Manager.

Main Missions

• As a Product Manager intern, you will participate to product development and in particular your work will include:
• Understand users (data scientists) needs, collect user feedbacks, write user stories
• Understand competitors landscape and Owkin positioning
• Contribute to defining development roadmap and priorities
• Ensure prioritized features are developed, in close collaboration with the UI/UX designer and software engineers
• Organize demo and onboarding sessions for new users
• Monitor deployment and usage metrics

About you

• You are enrolled in a Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering;
• You know Python and have basic knowledge of some of the main machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc).
• You have a strong capacity to synthesize and report;
• You enjoy working in teams and interacting with people of different background;;
• You have excellent communication skills, oral and written in English ;
• You have basic knowledge or interest and willingness to learn about software development and healthcare sector
