Product Manager, Integrations

About us

At Swell, you'll be joining a team of talented, resilient, and empathetic people based all over the globe. We are 100% remote and value the flexibility that this provides. Momentum and progress are important to us, so we encourage asynchronous work to further empower each team member to make the best use of their time. As we grow we are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, thrive in ambiguity, see challenges as opportunities, and aren't afraid to share their voices about how we can make ecommerce better for everyone.

Role Description

About you

As a Product Manager at Swell, you are customer-focused, able to work independently, collaboratively, and in a highly technical environment. You also consider yourself to be a strong communicator with high writing detail-oriented writing proficiency.

You consider yourself familiar with building integrations as well as working directly with customers to gather requirements, if needed. In the past, you have prioritized a large number of possible integrations. You are highly self-motivated and looking to make your mark as part of a high-growth start-up.

If this sounds like you, keep reading.

What you'll do

  • Manage and drive Swell's integration pipeline. These integrations will be pivotal to help solidify Swell as the leading headless ecommerce platform.
  • Be responsible for building and managing integrations that our customers need. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for platform integrations.
  • Work closely and cross-functionally with our customer-facing team members, go-to-market team, Leadership team, and other stakeholders across the company to prioritize integrations accordingly.
  • Bring this work to life and build the product integrations team as we scale with our Head of Product, Integrations.
  • Write detailed product specs to be delivered to Engineering.
  • Deeply understand our users and the problems they face.
  • Create a process to streamline integrations development.
  • Drive customer-driven decisions, clear prioritization, and efficient execution in the face of ambiguity and complexity.
  • Build processes that will scale as our team and company grow.
  • Empower your team by providing context, setting direction, and building alignment.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, ideally building and managing integrations.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership, taking initiative, to deliver results.
  • Technically minded and detail-oriented: you have a strong product sense and feel comfortable sharing opinions on design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems.
  • Creative product-thinker who loves collaborating and can lead product development across engineering, marketing, design, and sales.
  • Experience managing technical software products from the tie they kick off to the time they ship.
  • Strong ability to gain an in-depth understanding of software systems, develop a robust knowledge of the Swell API, make meaningful contributions to high-stakes discussions on data modeling, software architecture, etc.
  • You are scrappy and willing to go the extra mile to make your product and team successful: whether that means writing a QA plan or hunting down the root cause of a user’s frustration.
  • You have a good sense of humor —we take work seriously but don't take ourselves too seriously.
