About Us

Amper is a rapidly-growing IoT startup that empowers manufacturers to unlock their potential with modern software designed for seamless operations. Our platform simplifies complex manufacturing processes, helping manufacturers reduce costs, increase visibility, and drive efficiency. True to our belief in simplicity, Amper's solutions can be self-installed on any industrial machine in just minutes, eliminating the traditional integration hassle.

We are on a mission to build the market-leading FactoryOS, enabling manufacturers to operate at the cutting edge of efficiency and innovation. As a venture-backed startup with a distributed team and HQ in Chicago, we are investing heavily in our growth, particularly in our product and go-to-market teams.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and technically adept Product Manager - Integrations Lead to guide our integrations strategy and execution. In this role, you will be at the forefront of connecting Amper's product with our customers' unique ecosystems, driving value through custom integrations, and extending our platform's capabilities.

Integrations in the world of manufacturing can be quite challenging; frequently we’re working with older applications, deployed on-premise as well as home-grown applications and even spreadsheets. Being able to map Amper’s application to customers’ existing systems and data models is key to defining good solutions and aligning on the “why, what and how” with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Discovery & Strategy: Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with customers to identify integration needs, define project objectives, and develop overarching strategies that align with Amper's product vision.

  • Tactical Execution: Translate high-level strategies into actionable tasks, collaborating with Account Executives/Managers (AE/Ms) and Customer Success Engineers (CSEs) to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Technical Execution: With the aid of a technical lead, work directly with a dedicated integrations engineer to build out customer-specific integrations. Own prioritization of that work and the related stakeholder management.

  • Technical Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex technical challenges, providing tactical support to both internal teams and customers, ensuring solutions are robust and aligned with customer needs.

  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly reassess and adjust strategies throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring optimal alignment with customer requirements and technological advancements.

  • Product Extension: Work directly with engineering teams to enhance Amper’s public API and core product capabilities, driving forward our integrations roadmap and expanding our platform’s reach.

About You

You’re a seasoned product professional with a passion for tackling technical challenges head-on. You thrive in environments that require a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on problem solving, getting “in the weeds” technically, and cross-functional collaboration. You understand the importance of building strong relationships with both customers and internal teams, and you’re motivated by the impact that well-executed integrations can have on a product's success.

What You Bring:

  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of influencing across functions. Ability to delegate work across different departments and functions in order to deliver for our customers.

  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, wearing many hats and frequently changing contexts without missing a beat.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong technical background (software or other engineering) with a proven ability to learn new technologies and deploy them effectively.

  • High EQ & Empathy: A strong sense of empathy, both for customer needs and team dynamics, paired with the ability to navigate complex interpersonal scenarios.

  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Adept at identifying gaps in knowledge and proactively seeking solutions, with a strong analytical mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry and with SaaS products.

  • Previous experience in a Product Management role, particularly in integrations or API-driven environments.
