About The Role

The preferred location for this position is in or around Robinhood's offices in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY, with in-office work capabilities, as may be required by management.

Product Managers at Robinhood are responsible for leading teams to develop products that improve the everyday lives of our customers. You’ll work with our data, design, engineering, finance, research, and operations teams to bring ideas to life that will help us democratize finance for all!

Robinhood continues to grow very rapidly, now with over 22.5M customers, and is building new products and features that will deliver more value to our customers and propel our next wave of growth. How easily and quickly customers are able to fund their account and start transacting on Robinhood plays a pivotal role in their satisfaction. Instant Deposits enable our customers to instantly access their funds after they initiate a bank deposit. It also attracts fraudsters to increasingly abuse this product to find new ways to defraud the company.

As a Product Manager for Instant Deposits, you’ll set the product vision and strategy, prioritize initiatives, and be responsible for defining the features and capabilities for our Instant Deposits product. You will work closely with our engineering and data team and other product teams (growth, brokerage, payments, crypto, onboarding, etc.) to create the user experiences, build machine learning models and algorithms to determine Instant Deposits availability, and introduce rules and controls to prevent abuse and fraud. You will not only have the opportunity to own the user experience of our customers' instant access to their funds, but you will also be responsible for determining how those funds are used to transact within Robinhood.

Your day-to-day will involve

• Establishing a product vision and shared set of priorities across the team and the company to deliver innovative products and features, while eliminating fraud on the platform
• Collaborating with design, engineering and our operations team to ship high-impact features and experiments that improve the customer experience for Instant Deposits while protecting Robinhood against financial loss due to fraud
• Projecting the types of fraud related to Instant Deposits we should expect when introducing new product lines and asset types and determining the steps we need to take to monitor and mitigate fraud

Some things we consider critical for this role

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree
• 5+ years product management experience, building and shipping high-quality products
• Strong data analytical skills, including experience with big data and machine learning
• Familiarity using research, experimentation and product analytics to guide decision making
• Ability to focus on a problem at hand while thoughtfully considering overarching company strategy
• Passion for financial products and improving people’s financial lives
• Motivation to be a self-starter
