About the job
The IaaS team is a Product team whose mission is conducting discovery, prioritizing, and delivering new Instances (Virtual Machines) and Elastic Metal (dedicated servers) offers and features.
Reporting to the VP Product Management, you will be responsible for the orchestration of the Instances. This covers any user interactions/experience with Scaleway’s Instances and their API, Console User Interface, Command Line Interface, and Terraform plugin.
Collaborating with the Engineering Manager and fellow PMs, your mission will be to bring value to Scaleway's clients with your products. You will be the goto person. Not only within your team at Scaleway, but also externally for any product-related concern.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a product manager, including product strategy and discovery
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and prioritize complex problems involving multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build a fruitful relationship with customers, in order to understand and prioritize product requirements
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage dependencies, and keep track of deliverables’ due dates
- Understanding of software development, especially API/backend
- Very good command of English and French
Preferred qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the cloud market and our competitors’ offering (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
- Knowledge of data center server hardware and of virtualization
- Experience as a product manager for cloud infrastructure solutions
Responsibilities
- You provide the VP Product Management with solid insights about your products’ personas and market, so we can build the IaaS vision together
- Product roadmap & prioritization: define the product strategy and actions for your products to reach the vision and business objectives of the company
- Product discovery: understanding and having a clear picture of user needs, which is key to building the right products (in collaboration with the Product Marketing Managers and UX designers)
- Product delivery: work closely with the Engineering Manager to drive execution based on the product vision
- Product culture, management, and mentoring: you are a builder and advocate of Scaleway’s product culture
Location
This position is based in our offices in Paris or Lille; full remote is possible (France).
