About the Team
You’ll join a new team within the Data Collection Product Area in Spotify’s Data Platform Studio. We’re building a unified layer of developer-focused tools and experiences that sit on top of Gabito and UBI, our foundational event delivery and user-behavior instrumentation products. The team works on products like the Data Application Portal, the Client Instrumentation Browser, Gabito Inspector, and UBI Inspector—helping Spotify engineers instrument, validate, and understand telemetry with confidence.
What You'll Do
Deliver the initial roadmap for this new squad and shape the long-term direction of our developer tooling investments.
Build deep expertise in user-behavior instrumentation, event delivery, schemas, and developer workflows.
Define and track success metrics focused on correctness, productivity, and adoption.
Run structured product discovery with engineering teams; translate insights into clear product improvements.
Partner closely with the Engineering Manager and Staff Engineer to define MVPs, sequencing, and technical tradeoffs.
Communicate clearly across product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders to drive alignment and momentum.
Explore opportunities to apply AI/ML to developer tooling or product discovery.
Who You Are:
You know how to navigate ambiguous, fast-paced technical environments and turn that ambiguity into clarity.
You are experienced with developer-focused products and have the technical depth to reason about code, instrumentation, and telemetry.
You have a deep understanding of events, schemas, data pipelines, or telemetry systems.
You know how to run structured discovery with internal users, especially engineers.
You care about strong partnerships and work well with engineering management and tech leads.
You have a track record of thoughtful prioritization, roadmapping, and stakeholder alignment.
You use data to inform decisions and are comfortable establishing product metrics from scratch.
You have curiosity about how developers work and enthusiasm for improving DevEx at scale.
You have interest or experience applying AI to developer tooling or product processes.
Where You'll Be
This role can be based in Stockholm or London.
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! You should expect some level of requisite amount of in-person engagements with a hybrid working approach.
