The Company

Our self-paced, online offerings give anyone, anywhere access to world-class learning resources with an emphasis on project-based learning, industry-relevant curriculum, and tangible outcomes. Through this hybrid approach, we’ve helped thousands of learners revamp their careers and, by extension, their lives.

The Opportunity
Springboard is growing rapidly, and we’re seeking a Product Manager 2 to support our core B2C business. In this role, you’ll introduce new courses, formats, and partnerships, while implementing new and innovative features that continue to set us apart from the competition. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, Core,  you’ll work in close partnership with the Learning, Design, Engineering, and Program Operations teams to discover, build, test, and ultimately deliver learner and business outcomes. This is an amazing opportunity to make an impact on thousands of students’ lives — and you’ll have a great degree of visibility into and influence on the business!

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the product roadmap to support product-led growth (via new course/portfolio launches and partner initiatives) and improve learner outcomes (e.g. graduation and job placements).
  • Work towards quarterly goals and track deliverables and outcomes.
  • Drive alignment across your pod, cross-functional stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Take features from ideation and prioritization, to definition and build, to launch, measure, and iterate.
  • Conduct user and market research and identify features to improve your product.
  • Develop a clear understanding of users’ needs through user-centered design.
  • Follow through on your features: define, monitor, and report on feature metrics, and recommend iterations or improvements.

You:

  • Have 3+ years as a Product Manager building and launching online products that produce real outcomes
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to execute on product creation and growth strategies
  • Have a strong grasp of engineering concepts & software development processes
  • Have keen product sense, but are also exceptional in design thinking and execution: developing a clear, first principles understanding of the problem to solve, effective in identifying and validating potential solutions,  and efficient in communicating the requirements to the engineering team
  • Experience managing a product roadmap and vision, prioritizing features, and executing end to end; build to launch to landing
  • Have exceptional communication (both verbal & written) and people skills, especially with remote engineering teams and senior stakeholders
  • Possess terrific prioritization skills – you get to the crux of the problem/value, make hard but meaningful trade-offs, and articulate them clearly
  • Desire to put our learners first, and are the biggest advocate for our learners in any meeting
  • Showcase outstanding time management skills to deliver cross-functional projects on time while managing competing priorities
  • Are curious, have an “always be learning” mindset, and are fascinated by data, research, and user behavior
  • Are able to blend data and analytics with empathy and user-voice while designing user experiences

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience within an Agile/Scrum startup company.
  • Demonstrated a passion for education and/or the future of work
  • Worked with global and remote teams before
