The ability for consumers to prove their identity is something we take for granted in the physical world. Authentication in the digital world presents a much more difficult challenge. The need for trusted digital identity solutions is here as governments around the world are beginning to impose regulatory requirements on companies in order to mitigate the growing problem of online identity and payment fraud. This role will focus on executing the product strategy for Visa’s strong customer authentication solution, working with a globally distributed team to do so.
The Product Manager will play a critical role is developing and launching one of the first products within Visa’s Identity Products portfolio. The product manager will work directly with engineering, design, regional product, privacy and legal, and other Visa product teams to define requirements for the product that meet both client needs and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly come up to speed on the technical aspects of the product and also be able to think critically and strategically about how the product can and should integrate with other Visa products. The product manager will be required to work directly with technical teams, business teams, external clients, and partners, therefore should be comfortable adapting their communication style appropriately for their audience. The product manager will need to influence stakeholders without direct authority to execute their product strategy. The product manager will be responsible for developing business cases, revenue forecasts, product roadmap, and contribute to development of sales collateral, operational processes, and client legal agreements. The product manager may also participate as a Visa representative to industry standard organizations, participating in working groups to help define industry best practices or specifications. This role requires a variety of skillsets across strategy, product management, product development, delivery, and operations.
