Product manager - Histo-Genomics Platform - 1802W02

As a Product Manager, you will be in charge of the user research, functional specifications and prioritization of the Histo-Genomics platform product: a storage, visualization and annotation solution for histology and genomics data. Based on existing products and the team expertise, you will have to design and build this new product almost from scratch in the Owkin Data Platform team.

You will work embedded in a squad of software engineers and product designers focusing on the development of this Histo-genomics platform, and you will participate in the product team roadmapping and strategic work. The Histo-Genomics platform is at the core of Owkin strategy to build networks of medical datasets stored on hospital premises. The users you will be considering are data scientists and medical staff who need to manipulate and leverage histo-genomics data to make new therapeutic discoveries.

You’ll report to the VP Head of Product and will work in Owkin’s Product team with other product managers focusing on other areas of our products and with UX/UI designers.

*You will be in charge of: *

Participating in product development and in particular contributing to organising interview sessions with relevant partners and writing user stories

Leading the product efforts to design a smooth and efficient user experience for data scientists and medical staff. This will involve both GUI and SDK interactions. Preservation of the privacy of our partners data is paramount and will be an important part of the design constraints.

Working closely with the software engineers of the squad to ensure the features are properly specified, prioritized, validated and delivered.

Contributing to customer and partner demos.

The position is located in Nantes or Paris. Remote work is also possible with frequent travel to the offices.

We are looking for someone with:

• Good level of experience in product management.
• Deep knowledge of agile methodologies for product building and delivery.
• Deep knowledge of histology and genomics data types
• Ideally, experience in bioinformatics, genomics or medical data science, specially in context of large scale national and international initiatives
• Ideally, good knowledge about Machine Learning with medical data
