We’re looking for our first Product Manager to help us help therapists at Heard.
Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $175,000+

Unlike most small businesses, mental health providers lack the tools and systems needed to understand the ins and outs of their business. They're forced to work with a disparate array of expensive services or contractors to manage their finances, their taxes, their payroll, their savings and more. Not only is this outside their area of expertise — every hour spent wrangling finances or filling out forms is one less hour spent providing care.
Heard is growing incredibly fast. We launched in Jan 2021, and most recently raised our Series A in Feb of 2022. We have a clear, well-funded pathway to becoming an industry leading software services provider for independent mental health practitioners.

👋 About the Role
- You will be joining as Heard’s first PM, working directly with the cofounders in defining Heard’s core product. We’re looking for someone who can partner and collaborate across various teams, deliver clarity and drive impact, and really advocate for our therapists and their needs. This is a special moment — we know our product is working, and we have endless opportunities to build and grow upon it.
- As the first Product Manager at Heard, you will be foundational in setting up the product team for success.
- You will define and drive prioritization, metrics and processes
- You will align various stakeholders against business objectives
- You will define and drive product strategy
- You will grow and define the product team function at Heard
- You will help Heard reach hundreds of thousands of therapists businesses by building effective, scalable and delightful product experiences
- Define and maintain a clear roadmap that directly addresses our customer’s needs
- Partner closely with the product team and with functional stakeholders to solve highest impact problems
- Become the expert on the Heard product — our differentiators, our wins, our challenges
- Partner closely with your cross-functional team (design, engineering, research) to drive progress, results, and impact
- Deeply understand our customers and their pain points
- Leverage data and customer feedback to constantly iterate and evolve product offerings
- Instill an ethos of customer obsession in the work we deliver
- Working with the design, engineering and customer team — synthesize customer pain points, user research, analysis, and stakeholder feedback
Own concrete outcomes and directionally impact the success of Heard
Own and execute the product roadmap for the Heard Core Product
