The Freemium R&D team oversees the entire user journey on Spotify and ensures we engage with people in innovative ways, every step of the way. As a Product Manager in the Freemium Business Unit, you will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on Spotify’s growth by reaching new users, markets and audiences. We achieve this by truly understanding the needs of our users, and by innovating to solve real problems for them, building solutions across the entire Spotify infrastructure to support our goal.

This position in the Messaging Platform & Tooling team manages critical backend systems that deliver emails, push notifications and in-app messaging for the entire Spotify user base, including integration with third-party vendors. The reliable functioning of these systems is business-critical for Spotify's messaging and campaign goals.

What You'll Do

  • Lead overarching strategy for the core capabilities of the messaging and campaign platform
  • Lead strategy and execution to platform the tech stack into capabilities that can be used by other R&D teams to achieve their message and campaign goals
  • Lead strategy and execution to increase message reachability, which is critical to the business impact of messaging
  • Partner with our tooling squads to make the messaging and campaign platform accessible via a UI for non-technical partners
  • Partner with the Machine Learning PA to deliver the infrastructure to support ML-driven messaging and campaigns
  • Provide your squad, collaborators, and partners with clarity on your team’s mission and vision

Who You Are

  • Experience and knowledge building platforms
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience including building a roadmap, prioritizing work, and empowering consistent delivery outcomes
  • You have delivered projects that have shown proven impact for your business
  • You are experienced in making hard data-informed decisions (A/B testing and experimentation, data analysis, defining metrics)
  • of You have worked with senior leaders and managed the expectations of senior partners from several different subject areas and a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Experience measuring the success of efforts that may not be aligned with overarching business metrics (e.g. platform investments)

The United States base range for this position is $112,900 - $160,000 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 flexible holidays.
