Why Mozilla?

Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company that has shaped the internet for the better over the last 25 years. We make pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser, and Pocket, a service for keeping up with the best content online. Now, with more than 225 million people around the world using our products each month, we’re shaping the next 25 years of technology and helping to reclaim an internet built for people, not companies. Our work focuses on diverse areas including AI, social media, security and more. And we’re doing this while never losing our focus on our core mission – to make the internet better for people.

The Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the non-profit 501(c) Mozilla Foundation. This means we aren’t beholden to any shareholders — only to our mission. Along with thousands of volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozillians design, build and distribute open-source software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.

About this team and role:

Firefox Product Management is seeking an outstanding horizontal product manager to ensure Firefox delivers a fast, stable, and private browsing experience across all platforms.

This is a meaningful role responsible for monitoring and improving the overall health and quality of Firefox. You will work at the intersection of data and user-centric metrics, ensuring Firefox remains performant, reliable, and trusted by users worldwide. Your focus will include defining and tracking key health metrics, prioritizing areas for improvement, and working horizontally across teams to deliver exceptional product quality. It requires a balance of critical thinking, strong data analysis, and user empathy.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify and establish metrics to gauge the reliability, performance, and user-perceived health of Firefox (e.g., crash rates, page load times, user retention).
  • Regularly report on product health, informing senior leaders and creating actionable insights for engineering and product teams.
  • Collaborate with user research and customer support teams to understand user problems. Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in product health through data analysis, advocate for fixes or improvements.
  • Partner with engineering and design teams to prioritize and address issues impacting performance, reliability, compatibility, and other areas of product health.
  • Build and share reports and dashboards that communicate product health to the rest of the company, motivating change in our products and business. Ensure that product updates meet high standards of stability and user satisfaction.

What you’ll bring:

  • Product Management experience related to data and data analysis, especially as it relates to product quality
  • Strong SQL skills with a proven record of writing complex SQL queries
  • Advanced visualization and modeling skills
  • Capacity to grasp complexity quickly and to focus on key issues with minimal direction
  • Strong ability to integrate data, insights, and customer understanding to clarify project goals and strategy, drive execution, and inform delivery processes
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, being resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results oriented with high energy and a positive outlook
  • Excellent planning and project management skills; demonstrated ability to drive roadmaps, effectively managing priorities to meet requirements and deadlines while working on different projects simultaneously
  • Superb written and verbal communication
  • Solid understanding of technical architecture and data infrastructure principles

What you’ll get:

  • Generous performance-based bonus plans to all eligible employees - we share in our success as one team
  • Rich medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting (regardless of whether you contribute)
  • Quarterly all-company wellness days where everyone takes a pause together
  • Country specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday
  • One-time home office stipend
  • Annual professional development budget
  • Quarterly well-being stipend
  • Considerable paid parental leave
  • Employee referral bonus program
  • Other benefits (life/AD&D, disability, EAP, etc. - varies by country)
