About The Job
We’re looking for an experienced product manager to own Hopper’s Finance Automation products. As part of the Finance Operation group, our Finance Automation team builds products that serve the objective of providing our business leaders with automated financial reporting data, enabling real time decision-making that will power the best prices for our consumers. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the definition and delivery of our roadmap, be the central point of contact for all things Finance Automation, will talk financial but also technical language to effectively translate functional specs to technical requirements and will ensure that our products can scale at the pace Hopper is scaling. You will also be biased to leverage concrete data to establish the right priorities and trade-offs to deliver our roadmap, but will never compromise on the quality and accuracy of the financial data we are delivering. 
Qualifications
Proven ability to untangle complex problems and dive deep into data in a methodical manner
Experience working in a Finance environment is preferred
Innovative and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
A track record of being proactive and persuading colleagues by constructing a compelling narrative or use case
Experience with relational databases, Python and SQL to access, organize and analyze data
Technical depth that allows you to communicate with, understand, and earn the respect of world-class engineers and data scientists
•Go-getter attitude, comfortable learning whatever they need to move the team forward
Experience acting as product owner in an agile environment, aligning to deliver with speed, quality, and ownership

Responsibilities

  • Manage Finance Automation’s product roadmap for a set of features from inception through implementation; collect requirements, establish key performance metrics, craft the user experience, and drive execution
  • Understand and explain complex technical issues, discern impact, and communicate them to maximize clarity and drive resolution
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and data scientists to dive deep into our data to understand what the product needs to solve
  • Work with business leaders to help shape and drive business cases for product features
  • Ideate and wireframe new features that will be in the hands of all of our product teams
  • Identify the essential qualities of each feature: what's important, what's not, how can we build scalable solutions that can scale with Hopper
  • Use good judgment to make appropriate trade-offs when scoping and specifying solutions, ensuring that anything we build adds value to the business
