🔮 About us

Figures was created in October 2020 by Virgile, who was fed up of not having relevant compensation data for the start-up market in France, which led to endless discussions, negotiations, and therefore tons of internal inequality.

Joined by Bastien quickly after, they first tackled this issue by creating the first compensation benchmark product for start-ups & scale-ups in France.

With 500+ clients as of today, we can safely say that we found our Product Market Fit.

Our goal is now two-fold:

  • Become the main European Compensation benchmark product for start-ups & scale-ups as soon as possible.
  • Expand our product from pure benchmarking to compensation management as a whole.

🛠️ Your role

Our business is booming! Our goal for 2022 is to improve our existing product (benchmarking) and go one step further in the execution of our vision by building the first bricks of our compensation management app. This is a brand new product to invent & build from scratch!

Your main missions will be:

  • Product strategy & roadmap: own & define the product strategy with Alexis (in accordance with Virgile & Bastien’s vision), and prioritize the product roadmap.
  • Discovery: understand the pains & needs from the users, their expectations (by doing User Research, talking with the clients, using Hotjar).
  • Delivery: translate those needs in potential solutions, and help the software engineers solve them in an iterative manner (while giving software engineers as much ownership as possible on the product).
  • Communication: to the clients & internally with the whole Figures team.
  • Metrics: measure & follow the usage of the features, define what can be improved (or removed).
  • Culture & processes: you’ll contribute to create and consolidate our product culture. You’ll improve our methods & processes.

🧩 What we look for

  • Intermediate to Expert: you have at least 4 years of experience as a Product Manager.
  • BtoB: you have experience working with a BtoB SaaS product.
  • Startup environment & ownership: you have an experience in a startup and are used to have lots of ownership.
  • Hands-on: you like to get your hands dirty.
  • Discovery: you have a good ability to understand a problem, find solutions, prioritize, and communicate with the rest of the team.
  • Delivery: you are used to work in an agile environment.
  • Technical understanding: you have a good understanding of technical aspects & challenges.
  • Strong business acumen: you understand the business and have the capacity to leverage technology for impact.
  • Alignement with our values: you have a strong sense of ownership, you are pragmatic & you are at ease to give and receive feedback (while not taking yourself too seriously!).
  • You are fluent in English (we are building an international team).
  • You are based in Western Europe, CET +/-1 (or willing to relocate), and you can spend 3 days per month with the whole team in our office in Paris.

  • Your role and our product aspects:
  1. We’re building a brand new product that does not exist on the market. The challenge is huge, as it is a very complex topic and as we need to build a very easy-to-use product.
  2. You’ll have strong ownership on the product: you’ll own & define the product strategy alongside Alexis (in accordance with Virgile & Bastien’s vision).
  3. You’ll build with our clients and our users: we already have 500 clients companies & 2k users. Clients love us and are rooting for us. We get a lot of benevolent feedback so we’re not imagining and building things out of thin air.

💰 Compensation & Perks 🎁

👉🏼 The estimated salary for this role, for someone Paris based, is between €55,000 and €85,000. Of course that could be adjusted for any outlier profile!

👉🏼 For people who live outside of Paris, we adjust the compensation based on our Global Salary Convertor’s cost of labor.

  • Above-market equity. We allocate 14% of our company towards employee grants, which is considerably above market practices (the average equity pool size is a bit less than 10%).

👉🏼 0.29% to 0.75% ownership of the company, depending on your seniority level (≈ €1.4M-3.75M in case of a €1B exit).

  • Above-market benefits & perks.
  1. Flexibility in terms of hours, vacations and work location: at Figures, the expectation is on results, the responsibility is on the means.
  2. Remote Flexibility. Mandatory 3 days in the office per month (expenses paid by Figures), that's it!

👉🏼 1 month worked part-time (50%) but paid at 100% when returning from maternity leave.
