Product Manager - Enterprise

OVERVIEW

Modern Treasury is hiring a Product Manager to own enterprise scalability and reliability initiatives across our products. You will work with Modern Treasury’s biggest customers as they use the platform to move billions of dollars a month. Working with engineering and customer-facing teams across the company, you will ensure that these implementations are successful.

As a Product Manager, you will own metrics and processes as we continue to grow our payments volume at a rapid pace. Modern Treasury is often the most critical piece of infrastructure that our customers use. We place a premium on building robust, scalable systems that can sustain a high volume of API calls and exceed the reliability requirements to move money at scale.

Our enterprise customer base includes best-in-class fintech and vertical software companies and has been rapidly growing. We’re looking for someone who can work with these enterprise customers to understand their business needs and translate them into engineering requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Product Manager ensuring the success of enterprise deployments, you will be on the front lines of ensuring industry-leading payments systems work at scale. Your responsibilities will include:

• Enterprise customer discovery: You will work with our largest customers to understand their requirements around reliability, deliverability, and scale. You shape our product to support customers’ needs as they exponentially grow payments volume.

• Prioritization for payments system design: You will go deep into the design of our products which power the full lifecycle of payments moving billions of dollars each month. This engine transmits tens of thousands of payments sent daily across dozens of bank partners and in countries around the world.

• Defining testing and implementation requirements: You’ll talk to our largest customers to understand their product and engineering requirements for successfully onboarding onto Modern Treasury, including coordination of load tests, design of the preproduction experience, and management of breaking changes.

• Incident response and reliability improvements: You’ll own our internal processes and tooling around incident response and remediation and how we prioritize bug reports. You’ll develop rigorous product release workflows to maintain reliability and detect problems early.

• Metrics and operational improvements: You’ll design metrics to ensure we are building to the right customer-oriented scalability goals across the engineering organization. You’ll discover operational improvements for our internal teams during payment debugging and product configuration.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Technical fluency: You relish going deep with engineers on the details of payment systems to understand how the payment system itself can service customer applications. You are familiar with using application data to improve the platform’s capabilities for recognizing transaction and payment patterns.

• Ownership of systems at scale: You have experience solving scalability problems and are excited about defining Modern Treasury’s roadmap for the next phase of scale. You are excited about workflow and operational improvement to smooth and scale the operations as we deliver the payment product to our customers in their product lifecycles.

• Empathy for enterprise buyers: You can empathize with and match the technical requirements of our most mission-critical customers. You can work with sales and customer success to develop pointed strategies for capturing and showcasing the value of MT against alternative or in house payment operation teams.
