Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Product Manager, Enrollment Experience to join our Product team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role

Oscar Product is a growing, fast-paced team using technology and design to revolutionize healthcare. As a Product Manager, you'll play a key role in helping Oscar solve problems and accelerating your team's execution. In this role, you'll join our Enrollment Tech product team to lead Enrollment Experience. You'll have the opportunity to drive investments in a variety of enrollment-related areas: building innovative experiences, optimizing operational processes and tools, growth/expansion and more.

You will play a key role in defining and delivering the experience that powers enrollments in the small group and IFP lines of business. This includes partnering closely with our Go-To-Market and Sales teams to create innovative group and member growth ideas as we expand across geographic markets and into new products. You will be laser-focused on improving the overall user experience by identifying the root cause of operational issues and creating elegant technology-driven solutions to remove the friction.

You will report into the Group Product Manager who leads the Enrollment and Broker Tech domains. This is a hybrid role. You will work part of the time in the Los Angeles office and part of the time work-from-home/remote. #LI-Hybrid

The base pay for this role is $131,200 - $172,200. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for product investments that power enrollment experiences.
  • Define OKRs and KPIs to measure business and operational impacts, and relentlessly identify improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to gather insights on user needs and ship innovative functionality that advances business logic and reimagines internal and external workflows.
  • Articulate crisp and thorough requirements and clearly communicate them across stakeholders, incorporating data and user research insights.
  • Work in lockstep with go-to-market and operations teams to understand the needs of key stakeholders (members, small groups, clients, brokers, business admins, internal users) and prioritize high impact solutions that maximize business value.
  • Problem solve issues across teams to quickly diagnose root cause and move to resolution factoring in trade-offs on speed, scalability and quality.
  • Spearhead complex initiatives with ability to influence without authority. Manage timelines, cross-functional team accountability, and risk identification

Qualifications

  • You have worked directly with engineers in product management for 2+ years.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally among engineers, designers, operations experts, marketing and others.
  • Experience in driving rigorous prioritization processes.
  • You are comfortable with tech systems and understand basic technology infrastructure such as backend services, database relationships, and leveraging database tools such as SQL.

Bonus Points

  • Previous experience working with small businesses, small group brokers, and clients in a product management capacity.
  • Previous experience partnering closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
