We’re looking for a Product Manager, Engagement & Retention, who is experienced at discovering, building, and launching product initiatives that drive user engagement and retention. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies in the areas of (but not limited to) activation, personalization, notifications, rewards, etc. in order to build an engaging ecosystem that helps founders grow their business. 

You will work as part of a cross-functional team who’s empowered and given the responsibility to increase founder engagement and retention working with the product teams, marketing, engineering, UX design, customer success, and sales. You will be the voice of the founder and focused on helping founders win. You will work with a team that believes in discovery over solution, experimentation over rushing to build, and learning over gut-feel.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Work cross-functionally with dedicated Engineering, UX Design, Product Mgt. and Marketing to build the next generation of customer engagement, retention and personalization capabilities
  • Establish OKRs and KPIs for measuring progress and success towards growing monthly active users, founder repeat capital uptake and website engagement activities
  • Develop and maintain strong channels of communication up and down the organization to keep relevant partners aware of and informed about product strategy and progress towards established retention and engagement goals and KPIs
  • Identify key drivers of engagement to increase usage growth, expansion, and retention and drive execution through iterative testing and learning
  • Represent the customer, be the champion and voice of other internal teams and customers, and bring the customer's voice into the creation process 
  • Own requirements, specifications, and release plans
  • Ship minimum-loveable-products that allow us to test our hypotheses while delivering a quality customer experience
  • Align and influence PMs, designers and engineers to enhance existing product features to increase user engagement (e.g. drive in-product analytics, tours and onboarding to improve feature adoption and visibility of usage)
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customer segments, personas, and advocate relentlessly for the best product user experience on their behalf – through market research, experimentation, user testing, and data analysis
  • Deliver customer-centric data needs to support internal teams, specifically customer success, sales and product teams

You will thrive if you have:

  • Demonstrated product management experience with an intersection between customer experience and product growth – created habit loops to drive usage is considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization and external partners, from the VP on down 
  • Passionate about generating big, creative ideas to differentiate in the market, growing the business and working with internal and external partners to build innovative products
  • Strong persuasion skills and ability to create buy-in for a bold vision
  • Ability to run and manage multiple product initiatives, driving both the strategic roadmap and the tactical day-to-day execution, leading the buildout of product features, and running A/B tests
  • Strong analytical skills and fluency with product analytics reporting in order to generate analyses and actionable insights that inform retention and engagement strategies and tactics
  • Demonstrated experience in A/B testing frameworks and analysis
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in ambiguous situations, developing frameworks and executional plans that inspire confidence within the organization
  • Having completed the Reforge Engagement + Retention Deep Dive or an equivalent program is considered an asset
