The last two decades have seen an explosion in new payment services - from digital wallets, mobile payments, and open banking, to Buy Now Pay Later and crypto. Great for consumers! But, incredibly complex for merchants and developers. That’s where Primer comes in.

Primer is the world's first automation platform for payments. With Primer, merchants and developers have all the underlying infrastructure and "lego blocks" they need to build the best buying experiences for their customers. Any developer can build a connection on Primer; merchants then simply 'click and connect' to the services they need to build their desired payment flows within their Primer dashboard.

Our internal efficiency (DevOps) team is our bridge between engineering and infrastructure. We're looking for a Product Manager to lead the charge in this area, working closely with all the engineerings teams to drive engineering speed and efficiency at Primer.

You’ll have previous experience working within the world of DevOps, whether that be as an engineer looking to move into a product focussed role or a seasoned PM that's worked closely with platform engineering in the past.

What you'll be doing

  • Analysing our engineering teams workflows and proactively identifying bottlenecks
  • Identifying efficiencies and reusable technologies across the teams
  • Setting up the roadmaps and prioritisation of tasks
  • Acting as an innovator to introduce new tools and processes to improve internal efficiency
  • Setting up metrics and internal KPIs to evaluate efficiency
  • Managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple product teams
  • Make informed decisions using data as well as stakeholder feedback to drive improvements
  • Working cross functionally across a fast-paced, scaling business, and making an impact from Day 1

What we're looking for

  • A strong engineering background, ideally with some Product Management experience
  • Experience working within a DevOps/Engineering/Internal Efficiency team
  • An understanding of the development lifecycle and how to best optimise it
  • Understanding of the engineering challenges of a rapidly scaling organisation
  • Understanding of business requirements and ability to prioritise projects based on product priority
  • Superb written and oral communication skills, ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to drive outcomes
  • Drive and passion for enabling teams to work as productively and efficiently as they can
