ABOUT THE ROLE 

Peloton Platform team is seeking a motivated Technical Product Manager to help deliver best in class developer experience and innovative tooling for Peloton software engineers, enabling them to build our award winning Peloton Products (including Bike, Tread, and Guide) with higher quality and less toil.

As a product manager with the Platform team, you will represent the voice of our customers - Peloton developers. You will partner with other product managers, data scientists, engineers, and program managers across Peloton to gain in-depth knowledge of developer journeys and create delightful developer experiences across the spectrum of full stack, mobile, web, backend, data, and machine learning teams. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON 

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of Peloton engineering community’s needs as well as industry trends, and advocate for solutions that improve developer experience while accelerating velocity and improving quality 
  • Define, track, and improve metrics that provide insight into developer happiness, team velocity, tooling effectiveness, and our platform reliability 
  • Partner with your peer Platform Product managers and the border Platform team to develop a cohesive developer experience across all tooling and infrastructure touchpoints and craft a unified technical strategy and roadmap 
  • Work with the dedicated team of software engineers to define requirements, scope, plan, and implement Developer Infrastructure tooling and capabilities including best in class onboarding and detailed documentation 
  • Develop deep relationships with stakeholders throughout the software organization and ensure there is alignment with the wider technical and business strategy 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON 

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the Technology industry, ideally including 2-3 years of hands-on engineering and 2-3 years of product or program management experience. Software engineers looking to switch to the product management track are welcome to apply.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including authoring and giving feedback on technical and strategic documents as well as the ability to tailor messaging for a variety of technical and business audiences 
  • Sound quantitative, analytical, and problem solving aptitude with a track record of driving results 
  • Passion for improving developer experience with tooling, automation, knowledge discovery, etc. 

BONUS 

  • Subject matter expertise in developer experience, tooling and infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with CI automation platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub actions, Circle CI
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • Experience building software in Java, Kotlin, and/or Python 
  • Experience modernizing and refactoring legacy systems
