About the Role

Mynd is looking for a collaborative and cross-functional Product Manager who cares deeply about helping product teams and Mynders be more efficient at their daily jobs. You will be tasked with leading the data strategy, internal education, reporting, and self service tooling. 

The role will report to the VP of Product, but partner closely with the VP of Data.

  • What does being “Data Driven” mean to you?
  • How should we conduct research to understand usage and adoption of common reports and dashboards across Mynd?
  • How do we empower every Mynder to self service data and answer their own common questions?
  • How do we foster a data culture across the company?
  • How do we track and report on hundreds of core metrics to teams across the company?
  • How do we bridge the gap between product engineering and data teams?
  • How do we prioritize data requests from over 10 product teams and various operational teams?
  • How should we present data to have the right impact?
  • What is the difference between a KPI, a leading indicator and a metric?

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of BI engineers & data engineers in providing data and insights across the entire company
  • Partner deeply with the VP of Data on the data strategy and execution 
  • Partner with other product teams to embed data resources
  • Partner with business teams to provide self service solutions for their domains
  • Perform market research and experiment with new Data capabilities
  • Dig into data and show our users how to advance their capabilities
  • Exhibit sound product judgment and present clear measurable objectives that will lead to achieving business goals
  • Own your area’s metrics end-to-end, proactively identify issues and opportunities, and surface learnings to drive unit economics and growth
  • Translate and prioritize internal customer feedback into engineering requirements and execute on those requirements
  • Champion your products in-house and drive adoption with training and continued support
  • Contribute to and update roadmap prioritization, product strategy, and product vision
  • Be a leader and push the vision of Data within the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years experience building software as a Product Manager or equivalent
  • Proficient in SQL and Data Modeling
  • Strong understanding of BI tooling (Sisense a plus) and Snowflake
  • Experience in DataRobot and DBT preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills; you will need to develop strong relationships with business partners, engineering, design, and other cross functional teams
  • Technical background working with engineering and data scientists
  • Confidence in professional aptitude and ability to effectively convey skills and knowledge to non-technical stakeholders and external customers
  • Demonstrated success in a high-growth, operationally intense environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to influence cross-functional team
