As a Product Manager at Square for Square Customer Directory, you will be responsible for driving highly visible and impactful platform product initiatives from inception through execution. You will report to and work closely with the Customer Directory Product Lead, and will partner with other product and cross-functional leads, as well as general managers responsible for various Square products and platforms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, analysts, product managers, and other cross-functional leaders within the organization to bring a new buyer identity platform to marketand integrate it across the Square ecosystem of products to power new consumer-facing experiences. Your work will ultimately enable Square sellers to create highly personalized omnichannel experiences for their customers across the myriad of online and offline channels and product surfaces they engage with customers on.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define the product and platform strategy for the Customer Directory Buyer Identity platform and consumer-facing Square Profile product surface

  • Define, document, and communicate objectives, product requirements, and constraints for product initiatives and releases. 

  • Have a deep understanding and empathy for Square Sellers and their customers, as well as internal teams and developers at Square building on the Directory platform

  • Collaborate closely with engineers on highly technical platform, data, and integration initiatives, often working across teams to bring complex new integrations to life

  • Create and drive a product roadmap, evangelize it across the organization and, in collaboration with world class design, engineering, marketing, and analytics partners, prioritize and lead the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to launch

  • Represent the team and platform with cross-functional partners, senior company leaders, and key stakeholders across the company in order to align resources and prioritization for strategic initiatives

  • 5+ years of technical product management experience or related/equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience delivering platform products which have a high-degree of complexity (ideally involving complex data modeling, integrations, or similar challenges)

  • A track record of shipping and iterating on successful platform products that required partnering across multiple teams, organizations, and/or companies 

  • Ability to both operate at a strategic level and dive deep into the technical details and complexity with ease. You can readily communicate highly technical and complex topics to non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated leadership, and the ability to drive product strategy and partner effectively with senior engineers, designers, and stakeholders 

  • A collaborative approach: Track record of delivering results with cross-functional teams, through clear written communication.

  • An analytical and metrics driven approach that leverages data to drive decisions
