Xero is a beautiful, easy-to-use platform that helps small businesses and their accounting and bookkeeping advisors grow and thrive.

At Xero, our purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors, and communities around the world. This purpose sits at the centre of everything we do. We support our people to do the best work of their lives so that they can help small businesses succeed through better tools, information and connections. Because when they succeed they make a difference, and when millions of small businesses are making a difference, the world is a more beautiful place.

Our Credit Integration  team is making it simple for our Small Businesses to access timely, competitive and smart lending options that fit their needs.

It builds and extends the Xero API platform which allows our small business customers to connect their Xero business data with our lending ecosystem partners. These lending ecosystem partners include banks and fintechs across our global markets.

The Credit Integration  is a small team within Xero Financial Services that conceives, builds and releases data solutions for our lending partners. We use technologies such as C#, .NET Core, JavaScript and AWS, and we practice continuous delivery and an agile delivery methodology.

We are continually evolving and iterating our data products to make it easier for our lending partners to provide our small business customers with credit.

As the Product Manager you will gather the customer insights, define the products, create the business cases and lead the execution. You will  work closely with product research, data science, engineering, marketing and partner teams to deliver new API based credit solutions and other yet to be commercialised product sets.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyse, understand and represent the needs of both our end user customers and our lending partners (who make credit available)
  • Monitor markets globally, develop competitive analysis, define markets and size opportunities
  • Develop business cases and pricing models
  • Align stakeholders around the vision for the product
  • Prioritise product features and capabilities, enhancements and bug fixes
  • Own all the key product management artefacts such as the roadmap, product requirement documents and backlogs
  • Work with Xero ‘Go to Market’ teams to distribute our products to lenders across global markets

You will have:

  • Product management experience in a high growth software product organization
  • Experience working with data products delivered via APIs, ideally within financial services
  • This role interfaces with our lending partners, so communication and interpersonal skills must be strong, as well as past experience in working with customers and clients
  • Experience in establishing business cases, business requirements, functional requirements and interface designs
  • Strong analytical skills and recognize problems, distill and define the pertinent issues, and recommend effective solutions
  • A customer focus and the ability to relate everything back to the value we can deliver to our customers
