We believe the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and infrastructure developers need to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo and SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 11,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.

We are looking for the right product leader to scale Plaid by growing some of our most foundational data products. You will work across our Auth, Balance, and Identity products which are instrumental in building the modern financial management experiences that are shaping the future of financial services.
In this role, you will lead products that power some of the most important use cases for our customers and reach millions of end users. You’ll build relationships with our customers, uncover their highest priority needs, and translate those needs into scalable product solutions.
You will partner closely with teams across Plaid, particularly Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing, to set a product strategy that will deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers, partners, and end users.  The ideal candidate has led technical products or large-scale platforms, has regularly interacted with commercial customers and partners, has an extreme attention to detail, concisely communicates complex concepts, and is equally excited about reliability and financial correctness as well as beautiful product UX and API design.
Product Managers at Plaid own the end-to-end problem that they are trying to solve with their team. At Plaid, Product Management is a collaborative effort between engineering, design, legal, risk, analytics and customer-facing teams.

What excites you:

  • Regularly engaging with customers to understand their needs and create highly scalable solutions to unlock their biggest pain points
  • Building elegantly designed API products that enable our customers to create delightful product experiences for end consumers
  • Creating and evangelizing a product strategy, roadmaps, project plans, and clear product specifications that consistently deliver quality products
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, design, product marketing, sales, legal, risk, finance, and operations to assess cross-partner value, scope of effort, usability, and priority of product features
  • Delivering customer value iteratively, managing products through various launch phases and follow-on releases, and ensuring high return on development capacity
  • Building scalable processes to consistently deliver quality, including reliable QA test planning and methodologies

What excites us:

  • 4+ years experience in product management, with demonstrated experience successfully building and shipping products at scale
  • Skilled communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences, and ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and go-to-market
  • Adept at defining a product vision and translating it into actionable plans
  • Excellent technical acumen, curiosity, and familiarity with API’s, programming languages, and databases
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented individual with excellent organizational skills -- entrepreneurial experience is a plus
