Delivering the best Spotify experience possible. To as many people as possible. In as many moments as possible. That’s what the Experience team is all about. We use our deep understanding of consumer expectations to enrich the lives of millions of our users all over the world, bringing the music and audio they love to the devices, apps and platforms they use every day. Know what our users want? Join us and help Spotify give it to them.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Content Safety Analysis team. Content Safety Analysis’ mission is to promote a healthy Spotify experience by scaling understanding of the platform’s global catalog of content through tooling and content understanding capabilities.

Your work will focus specifically on the tooling needs within the safety space at Spotify. How do we find potential policy violations effectively? How do we support impactful data capture to support the development of machine learning classifiers and other content understanding capabilities? This role is highly cross-functional and will require collaboration with stakeholders across Research & Development and Trust & Safety.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to safety strategy conversations: You'll be an active participant in conversations about our safety strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that we're taking the right approach with our tooling to keep our users safe.
  • Own the problem: You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to define the problem that we're trying to solve with our tooling. You'll use your deep understanding of our users and our platform to ensure that we're focusing on the right problems and identifying the right solutions.
  • Explore solution options: You'll work with our design and engineering teams to explore different solution options. You'll ensure that we're considering a wide range of possible solutions, and that we're evaluating each option based on its potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with our overall safety strategy.
  • Develop features and projects with effective scope: Once we've identified the right solution direction, you'll work closely with the squad to ensure that we're developing features and projects with effective scope. You'll make sure that we're building solutions that are aligned with our overall product vision, and that we're delivering value to our users with each release.
  • Own release planning and coordination: You'll work closely with stakeholders across the company to ensure that projects are shipped on time and with the right level of quality. You'll also be responsible for coordinating with other teams to ensure that our tooling is integrated and adopted effectively.
  • Team health: Work closely with an Engineering Manager to optimize rituals and ways of working to ensure that the team is set up for success
