Working at Atlassian

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

The Confluence Cloud team at Atlassian is changing the way companies collaborate and share information. Confluence has 75k+ customers and more than half of Fortune 100 companies use Confluence to connect people with the content they need to get their jobs done, faster. Join us as we unleash the power of teams all over the globe.

Within Cloud, the Confluence Cloud Backbone team delivers new features and services designed to serve the needs of large companies using Confluence Cloud every single day. These customers are the lifeblood of the business, and meeting their needs is critical to the future success of Confluence as a whole. The Backbone team’s work runs the gamut of needs for these larger customers, including technical initiatives like improving scale / reliabilityand cross-product elements like executing on a permissions model that can be used by all of our products.

We are looking for a Product Manager to own initiatives for some of our platform’s core Enterprise needs. These will be complex, long-running projects that will require working cross-functionally with Product and Operational teams across the company. These needs help facilitate our largest customers migrating to cloud, which is mission critical for the business.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Work hand-in-hand with Enterprise customers to understand friction points in their product experiences and defining requirements to address those points
  • Get your “hands dirty” with Engineering teams to understand the nuts and bolts of the infrastructure that delivers our products and any constraints implied
  • Figure out what teams from across Atlassian will be required to help make your requirements a reality, and coordinating with those teams from planning through delivery

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Product management experience at a SaaS company
  • Technical fluency and proven experience translating complex technical projects and infrastructure work into clear, concrete, customer-facing product vision / goals
  • Proven ability to do so working with partner product and operation teams across organizational boundaries
  • Proven ability to deliver against stated vision/goals and landing impact with clear benefit to the company and its customers
  • True obsession for customers – you go out of your way to talk to customers and solve their problems because it’s what gets you out of bed in the morning, even if it means a tough conversation

It’s great, but not required, if you have

  • 3+ years of product management experience, with a focus on Enterprise
  • Computer science or a related technical degree
Our perks & benefits

To support you at work and play, our perks and benefits include ample time off, an annual education budget, paid volunteer days, and so much more.
