Atlassian’s future lies in the cloud, for our customers, users and ecosystem. In this future lies enormous potential to increase the impact of every Atlassian cloud engineer, from those who work on our internal platforms, to those who strive to improve the experiences of our fanatical end-users. Firstly, we need to empower our own engineering teams, and enable them to do the best work of their lives.

The Cloud Infrastructure team looks after the infrastructure that underpins Atlassian’s company strategy to deliver a suite of cloud products that meet needs from the smallest startups, to the larger enterprise customers. We’re all-in on cloud, and our infrastructure & associated tools have never been more important in helping Atlassian deliver a secure, compliant, reliable, and performant product suite, building the trust required by customers to allow Atlassian to host their mission-critical data.

As a Product Manager in the Cloud Infrastructure team , you will craft the high-impact platform capabilities and orchestrate company-wide practices that will directly improve the lives of every single Atlassian R&D cloud engineer, and ultimately impact thousands of customers including some of the leaders in their industries, now and for the next decade.

More about you

You love delivering outstanding products and capabilities for customers. You have prior success setting product vision and strategy and launching excellent features & products. You can set clear goals, make decisions, and communicate crisply to your team, to leaders across Atlassian, and to our customers & partners. You can map an organisation’s strategy directly to a team’s roadmap, and clearly ladder their results back into that strategy. You’re motivated by deeply understanding our end-users' frustrations, and relish the challenge of translating deep technical challenges into business and customer value propositions.
You’ve got charisma in spades: you’re social and adept at building relationships across product lines and functional groups to make sure everyone is aligned. Previous experience in cloud platform or infrastructure environments is a plus.

On your first day you'll have:

  • Experience at a SaaS company, ideally working on platform platform infrastructure and related products.
  • True obsession for your customers – you go out of your way to talk to customers and understand their problems because it’s what gets you out of bed in the morning
  • Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking. You're comfortable defining and driving key business and success metrics
  • A passion for wading into the complicated day-to-day decisions to help your engineering team ship impactful capabilities
  • A track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organisation.

It's great but not required if you have:

  • Sound prior Product Management experience working on similar products
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservice architectures
  • Experience working on Saas, Iaas and or Paas offerings highly desirable
  • Computer science or a related technical degree, or prior experience as a software engineer
