Every day, the world gets more digital thanks to tens of millions of developers building the future faster than ever. But with exponential growth comes exponential risk, as outnumbered security teams struggle to secure mountains of code. This is where Snyk (pronounced “sneak”) comes in. Snyk is a developer security platform that makes it easy for development teams to find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure — and do it all right from the start. Snyk is on a mission to make the world a more secure place by empowering developers to develop fast and stay secure.

Overview

We’re extending Snyk’s developer-first platform to disrupt the Cloud Security market. Compliance use cases and security rules are a critical business driver in this space, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented product manager to drive this part of the effort. In this role, you will own Snyk’s product support for standards such as NIST 800-53, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and SOC. Analyzing and understanding compliance frameworks and relating them to cloud platforms and our security rules will be critical. You will collaborate with our engineers to implement compliance use cases and integrate them with product features such as reporting and our APIs. You will also work closely with security engineers on maintaining a roadmap of security rules to implement.

This work will be highly visible and connect you to key Snyk product initiatives. Top candidates will bring past experience continuously improving products or business outcomes with analytical skills, lightweight process, and innovation. We’ll rely on you to improve the lives of both our customers and your colleagues.

Location

This is a remote position for an individual located in the UK, Eastern and Atlantic time zones of Canada and the US, Israel, or Romania.

You’ll spend your time

  • Leading the Snyk Cloud Security platform’s (Snyk Container, Snyk Infrastructure as Code, Snyk Cloud) approach to supporting compliance use cases, including engaging customers and partners on their compliance needs
  • Analyzing compliance standards and controls and Snyk’s security rules, to determine relevance for users
  • Working with developers and security engineers on tools to manage compliance data from a product perspective
  • Collaborating with product managers and security engineers on defining how compliance use cases and user workflows should be implemented

You should apply if you

  • Consider yourself to be detail-oriented, process driven, and highly analytical
  • Have prior experience in product management or as a business analyst/consultant
  • Have an interest in or want to learn more about cloud security and compliance
  • Are skilled in working with Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL
  • Are a proactive collaborator
  • Are fluent in English

We’d especially love to hear from you if you

  • Have worked with compliance standards (e.g. HIPAA, SOC 2) or security rules from either a business or technical perspective
  • Have prior experience working on a product team or an interest in doing so
  • Are familiar with AWS, Google, or Azure public cloud services (you don’t need to be an expert!)
  • Have experience with automation or scripting
