About the team:

GoodNotes is expanding into the classrooms across the world and we need a talented product manager to help us get there. We want to make the classroom a more interactive environment where students and teachers can connect through our product. As the PM on this newly created team, you will be part of building a new product from scratch through partnering with external educators and colleagues. You will be reporting directly into and working closely alongside our CEO and founder, Steven.

About the role:

This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:

  • Play a role in defining the strategy and roadmap for GoodNotes classroom, so that everyone has a clear picture about what’s important
  • Leverage GoodNotes existing relationships with Apple’s Global Education team and distinguished schools & educators, as well as build new ones with other global educators, getting them excited about what we’re building
  • Generate insights from different sources so that we can make decisions on priority, scope, requirements, and direction with confidence
  • Draft product requirement documents and work closely together with designers and developers on turning them into reality
  • Define, execute, and evaluate feature releases, so that the team knows why, how, when, and what we needs to be delivered
  • Test new features with students and teachers on a regular basis and provide feedback, so that we can maintain a high bar of quality
  • Represent GoodNotes at academic and edtech conferences to explain the USPs of GoodNotes classroom
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as marketing, QA, CS, so that they can help driving the impact and quality of our product


The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

  • Track record of shaping and shipping meaningful products that have been transformational to its users
  • At least 8 years of experience in software product management and the education sector
  • Solid technical understanding and proven experience working closely with engineering teams. You don’t have to be an engineer but you should be able to think like one when it matters
  • Strong prioritzation and collaboration skills with a focus on hands-down work
  • Track record in coming up and shipping unique high leverage ideas from in-depth technical and product insights
  • Great story teller and communicator both verbally and in written form
  • Someone who’s comfortable in working with a high degree of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Experience in building products/features for large userbases (>500k DAU)
  • Experience in going from 0 to 1
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Preferably someone with a good understanding of the education systems in APAC

  • An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join GoodNotes
  • A call with our VP of Operations & Academic Affairs, who’d like to get a better understanding of your background and is able to answer any questions you may have about the team, job or company.
  • A call with the founder and CEO.This is the person who will be managing you day to day, working on your growth and development with you as well as support you throughout your career at GoodNotes
  • A call with our VP of Engineering to get a better understanding of your experience collaborating with engineers
  • A values interview with two of our Product Managers, to answer questions relating to Build Great Things and Win Like a Sports Team
