Job Summary

You will be the Product Manager for our new Vehicle Lifecycle product team, leading development of the technology we use to support all vehicle movements, preparation for sale, and deliveries to customers. The team plays a critical role in both Cazoo’s customer experience and its operational efficiency. Leading one of four teams in our Business Operations domain, you will have a clear and extremely valuable role in helping us become the best automotive online retailer in the UK.

Working closely with stakeholders, engineering, UX, and analytics, you will be responsible for leading product development from ideation and discovery through design, delivery, preparation for launch, measuring success, and iteration. Ultimately you’ll make sure we invest in tech that delivers excellent customer experience, profitability, and competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and owning the product vision and roadmap for Vehicle Lifecycle systems
  • Collaborating cross-functionally, including with engineers, designers, analysts and stakeholders
  • Facilitating meetings and workshops to focus the power of your cross-functional team on dual track discovery and delivery
  • Conducting research, gathering quantitative and qualitative data and analysis to inform product decisions
  • Generating hypotheses, assumptions and identifying efficient analysis and experiments to validate them
  • Managing agile product development cycles, releasing value early and often
  • Identifying, monitoring and analysing product performance metrics
  • Addressing technical challenges as they arise and ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of our back-end systems

Skills and Experience Required

  • Genuine understanding and appreciation of using data and technology to deliver excellent customer experience, profitability, and competitive advantage

Proven experience of working with your stakeholders and technical leads to identify the most valuable problems for your team to solve and setting clear team goals

  • Successful agile development of data-led back end systems that move the needle on customer and business outcomes
  • A love of collaboration, facilitation, and experience in leading varied groups to swift decisions
  • Ability to rapidly gain in-depth knowledge of your product area
  • Comfort with highly complex systems and data and not getting lost in the details
  • Commercial understanding/acumen
  • Bonus points for experience in:
    • Data science and machine learning
    • Automotive industry
    • Automotive retail operations
    • Looker
    • Python
