We are looking for a Product Manager to serve as a key member of the product function at Causal, deeply understand the customers and their needs, and shape the product roadmap to build a world-class product, enabling Causal to achieve its vision.

Why Causal?

  • Innovate the Future of Data Tools: Tackle complex engineering and UX challenges as we develop our spreadsheet-esque interface. Create a platform that's incredibly powerful yet delightfully simple, striking the perfect balance between advanced functionality and user-friendly design.
  • Shape Exceptional UI/UX Experiences: Ensure our interface is offering a low floor for newcomers and a high ceiling for power users tackling the most demanding use cases.
  • Elevate Data Visualization: Help users transform numbers into narratives with beautiful charts and tables. Enhance our dashboarding capabilities to enable clear and compelling communication through information.

What's in It for You?

  • Impact: Your work will directly influence how companies and individuals interact with our platform and as a result make critical decisions about their businesses.
  • Challenge: Work with world class engineering and design team with modern practices on one side, and a broad base of user personas to understand and cater to on the other side
  • Collaboration: Join a passionate team that values innovation, creativity, respect and mutual growth.

You Will

  • Deeply Understand Our Product and Customers: Immerse yourself in every aspect of our product and grasp the nuanced needs of our customers to deliver exceptional solutions. Talk with customers/prospects at least 4h per week and dig into product data to always know what the current bottleneck for retention/expansion/activation is.
  • Lead and Innovate: Play a crucial role in defining the direction of Causal's product, company, and culture, making a lasting impact on our journey forward.
  • Own the Roadmap: Work with the founders, engineering, and design to maintain and execute upon the product roadmap — detailed for the upcoming month and a flexible view for the next quarter
  • Execute on Roadmap:
  • PM specific projects on the roadmap, and in partnership w/ lead designer and engineer: drive them from specs → clear scopes, make key decisions/trade-offs, project manage the team to timely delivery to customers, and keep everyone focused along the way.
  • This also includes having a grasp of overall execution towards roadmap, even on projects that PM is not an owner of.
  • Focus on Product Polish: Partner with Engineering to strike the right balance between new features vs. performance/reliability/usability improvements. This also involves week-by-week triaging and prioritisation.
  • Own Internal + External Comms: Own external product communication (e.g. changelog, as well as larger feature launches in collaboration with go-to-market), and user resources (e.g. documentation, community). Own internal product communication to the rest of the org, so that the team knows what our roadmap and priorities look like.
  • Keep your Eye to the future: Partner with founders, engineering, and design to understand the impact of product changes and use that to inform future decisions

Ideal Qualifications

  • Be Startup Savvy: You've gained experience working at a Series A to C startup, thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Have a Basic Finance Background and Excel Skills: The ideal candidate will have experience in either consulting, finance or FP&A, where they worked with spreadsheets regularly.
  • Have a Strong Educational Background: You hold a Bachelor's degree and excel at analytical thinking
  • Thrive in Ambiguity: You excel in dynamic environments where not everything is fully defined. You confidently navigate uncertainty, take initiative, and make decisions that drive projects forward.
  • Have Product Management Experience: The ideal candidate will have product management experience at a fast-growing technology company & a proven track record of having successfully shipped large scope products with impact.

You'll Get

  • Competitive Salary with Equity: Receive competitive compensation along with an equity package — share in our success as we grow together.
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off: Recharge and find inspiration whenever you need it with unlimited PTO.
  • Home Office Setup Stipend: Create your ideal workspace with a generous equipment stipend to supplement your home office needs.

  • Invest in Your Growth: Access to an annual allowance, dedicated to learning and development to fuel your professional journey.
  • Exciting Company Retreats: Connect with the team during our unforgettable company retreats held twice a year. We’ve collaborated in: London, Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica, and more.
  • Remote-First Culture: Work remotely from anywhere in timezones aligned to United States or United Kingdom, or join us in our vibrant London office—the choice is yours!
  • Cutting-Edge Technology Stack: Work with modern technologies and benefit from highly automated workflows that streamline development and keep you at the forefront of the industry.
  • Modern Equipment: Receive the latest-generation laptop hardware to ensure nothing slows you down—the tools will match your ambition.
  • Flexible Working Hours: Outside of our core collaboration times, enjoy the flexibility to work when you're most productive, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
