Captions’ product team is growing, and we’re looking for an extremely high performer to join as our next Product Manager. The product management function at Captions is responsible for shipping … fast. They drive their product area roadmap(s) forward and keep the team efficient in that effort. We’re looking for sharp, organized people who can act decisively in highly ambiguous environments and have excellent product sense.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and drive product development in alignment with Captions’ broader goals, strategy, and roadmap.
• Understand Captions’ competitive landscape and strategic position to deliver industry-leading products that support our mission.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery from concept to execution (customer support, data science, marketing, sales, partnerships, etc.)
Requirements:
• 3+ years of product management or relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to:
• Define product vision and requirements.
• Coordinate resources from various departments outside of engineering (design, data science, marketing, etc.).
• Guide the team through key product milestones.
• Proven ability to analyze complex, large-scale data sets and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience delivering technical presentations and gathering product requirements from diverse stakeholders.
• Strong technical background with analytical tools, methodologies, and product design.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and execution skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and proven track record of driving projects with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing the full product lifecycle, incorporating customer feedback, and driving prioritization from concept through post-launch execution.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment with fluid processes and a need for creative problem-solving.
