Product Manager Banking Payment Methods

We’re looking for a passionate product manager to extend our banking services. Adyen has built its Banking Infrastructure fully in-house and leverages its banking licenses in Europe and the United States to offer a variety of financial products. We are now extending our banking services with Direct Debit- and Virtual Account solutions for various use cases and are looking for a Product Manager to build out the product and team around those.
This role is based out of our recently opened technology hub in Madrid and is part of our Platforms and Financial Services department. The team is responsible for all financial products we offer to our customers. Whether we work together with large partner platforms, medium sized local merchants, or major international enterprise businesses, our products need to meet our clients expectations and seamlessly fit into their systems.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement our Direct Debit- and Virtual Account solutions and potentially more bank-based payment methods to build global solutions for the biggest brands in the world
• Manage your products end-to-end including RfP processes, pricing negotiation, subject matter expertise, scope and delivery of technical projects that fit our customers needs at scale
• Interact  with customers and commercial teams on a regular basis to translate their needs into product requirements
• Working in an international, diverse and inclusive team
• Lead and work closely together with your engineering team as well as our Local Payments and Banking teams to incorporate Virtual
• Accounts and Direct Debit in our offering
• Work across regions with different teams (e.g. Compliance, Treasury and Legal) to ensure our offering meets all financial and legal requirements

Who you are

• Experience - You have 4+ years of working experience in product roles within a fintech- or financial services environment, experience with Direct Debit, Virtual Accounts or related products is a must
• Market informed - you know everything about the latest and future market developments for at least one of our core regions
• Proven record - you have experience in launching and or scaling bank-based payments products
• Analytics - You are able to solve complex situations and convert them into structured solutions, which are actionable for both internal and external stakeholders
• Entrepreneurship - you are hands-on, are able to form a vision and have strong project management skills in which you take full ownership and control over your projects
• Communication - You have solid communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures
• Leadership - You have a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation will add value to a fast-growing business
