We’re responsible for guiding multidisciplinary teams toward a common goal: shipping high quality products and creating business value. As advocates for both our users and our business, the best product managers balance a range of functional perspectives and empower their teams to do great, high impact work.
As a Product Manager on the Backup team, you will be responsible for helping Dropbox Backup expand our reach by building discovery, onboarding, and activation experiences for our product. You’ll determine how to communicate Backup’s value, and how to best influence users to experience it. You will partner with a world class team of Product Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Analysts, and Marketers to understand users’ needs and build experiences with measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Defining a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap to validate which product experiences are most effective for Backup activation.
- Make user-centric and data-informed product decisions with qualitative and quantitative research, leveraging prototyping, experimentation, and iteration to determine the optimal discovery experiences.
- Obsess over outcomes and know where best to invest the team’s valuable time. Share insights and results with product and go-to-market teams, and build on your learnings.
- Collaborate with engineering and design partners to develop a roadmap which tests, iterates, and launches impactful products. Drive project progress from end-to-end, working with partners to assess tradeoffs and feasibility.
- Align and partner with product teams and cross-functional leadership across Dropbox to drive outcomes that support Dropbox’s company-wide strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally on a user-facing product
- Strong track record of using data, analytics, research, and experimentation to drive outcomes, exhibiting a deep understanding of the different options and tradeoffs needed
- Deep curiosity and empathy for end-users — you love building products that make our customers feel joy, delight and trust
- Strong influence and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to create clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
