About the Role

Backend Systems Product Managers will own key parts of the Kraken backend product. We are seeking a product manager that has both strong product experience and technical experience to own and deliver features that strengthen our infrastructure and help us scale robustly and efficiently.

The successful candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust. The position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Candidates must possess the ability and willingness to balance consumer needs with business priorities and articulate the rationale behind decisions. There's rarely a boring day in crypto, and we're looking for people who want to be part of this exciting ecosystem!

Responsibilities

Develop and own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution of large part of Kraken’s back-end infrastructure
Work closely with engineering teams to strengthen backend services and strengthen infrastructure
Work closely with multiple teams to define and develop detailed product requirements
Ensure products are built to specifications
Develop clear product documentation including specifications and architecture diagrams

Requirements

Intimate knowledge of technical architecture and infrastructure in different settings
3- 5 years in product management
Prior experience as a software engineer
Strong grasp of information architecture and flow
Macro-to-micro versatility: strategic mindset coupled with a keen attention to detail Well-rounded interpersonal skills, and experience interacting with diverse personalities
Outstanding organizational and communication skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities
Deep understanding of project management principles and best practices
Expertise trading and investing on cryptocurrency exchanges
Prior crypto, trading, gaming or banking experience is preferred
