Product Manager, App Creation

Airtable is on a mission to democratize software creation. Our platform is loved by people at more than 300,000 organizations because they can design and build powerful applications (without knowing how to code) that perfectly fit their needs and workflows.  Within large organizations “creators” build applications on Airtable’s platform that are used by thousands of their colleagues on a weekly basis to collaborate across business-critical workflows. 

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the App Creation team at Airtable. The primary objective of this role is to reduce the time and effort required for users to create delightful and successful apps that power important workflows within their organizations. You will be responsible for deeply understanding customer workflows that can be facilitated by apps built on Airtable’s platform. You’ll work with cross functional partners to identify blockers and barriers to app creation in Airtable and you’ll generate solutions to address them. 

What you'll do

• Deeply understand customer workflows that can be facilitated by apps created on Airtable’s Connected App platform 
• Identify blockers and barriers to app creation in Airtable that lead to user abandonment and generate solutions to address them
• Work closely with Design, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product solutions
• Investigate emerging technologies such as AI that can help lower barriers to application creation
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure that the product roadmap aligns with company initiatives and customer needs
• Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to executive leadership and other stakeholders

Who you are

• You have 8+ years of product management experience at a SaaS company and have worked closely with sales, marking and go to market strategy.
• Strong collaborator -  works effectively with partners in marketing, sales, implementation, design, UXR, and engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication - able to crisply articulate a vision for an Airtable solution that resonates with internal stakeholders like sales and marketing, and inspires customers to implement Airtable solutions.
• Efficient operator: must be able to create efficient processes that are highly effective at delivering results.
• Strong user empathy - identifying winning solutions requires a strong understanding workflows that prospective customers seek to create and ensuring that the product experience is sufficiently approachable for our target market.
• Excellent product & design sense - understands what makes a great product and user experience. Sweats the details and constructively pushes the team to deliver exceptional products that exceed customer expectations. 

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location, relevant skills and experience. The base salary range for this role is $192,000 - $288,000 for work locations in San Francisco, Mountain View, Seattle, NYC and LA. Our total compensation package also includes the opportunity to receive benefits, restricted stock units, and may include incentive compensation.
